Contrary to oneness of mankind and similar to every other group, Bahá’is have many critics too, though they are most likely to be overshadowed. No person can talk better about Bahá’i than a Bahá’i himself.

It is eye-opening that many Bahá’is, prominent Bahá’is such as Frederick Glaysher, have been shunned because of asking questions, from a religion that believes in independent investigation of truth, that believes in oneness of mankind.

Glaysher says:

The most crucial thing to it (The Bahá’i Administration), is complete and absolute obedience, which gives it the power to mold, manipulate, shape and sculpt, personalities, minds and hearts of its followers, wherever on earth they are, and towards its own certain goals

In this article we discuss Glaysher history and views.

Who is Frederick Glaysher?

Frederick Glaysher is an epic poet, rhapsody, poet-critic, and the author and editor of several books.

He holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan, the latter in English. Lived for more than fifteen years outside Michigan—in Japan, Glaysher taught at Gunma University in Maebashi.

Studied at Beijing University, the Buddhist Mogao Caves on the old Silk Road, and elsewhere in China, including Hong Kong and the Academia Sinica in Taiwan. While a National Endowment for the Humanities scholar in 1995 on India, he further explored the conflicts between the traditional regional civilizations of Islamic and Hindu cultures and modernity.

As one of the people extensively persecuted both on and offline by Wilmette-Haifan Bahá’is, since as early as 1996, I bring a unique experience and perspective to all things Bahá’is. Since 1976 I’ve been a member of the Reform Bahá’i Faith, a universal, unorganized form of religion, have published in the Bahá’i journal World Order, and served in several Bahá’i communities throughout the United States. Having read extensively in the Bahá’i writings for over thirty years and having had university coursework in religious studies and theology, I can confidently address issues of cultural, historical, and spiritual importance to Bahá’is and other interested people of various religious and secular outlook.((bahaicensorship.fglaysher.com))

Glaysher’s view on the Wilmette-Haifan Bahá’i

“]…As a member of the Reform Bahá’i Faith, I have been intimately involved in the issues of free speech and conscience within the Bahá’i Faith since 1996, if not longer. Most American Bahá’is are naively uninformed about these issues, if not deceived and brainwashed into a cult-like and mindless acceptance of a distorted version of its history, into ‘Taqlid’, as a result of the fraudulent will and testament of 1921, which Bahá’u’lláh had explicitly removed from the Book.((fglaysher.com/bahaicensorship))

At the top of its homepage at the most visible point of his website he quotes from Bahá’i leaders. His intention in using them is solely because he feels he has been betrayed by the Wilmette-Haifan Bahá’i. The quotes are:

The shining spark of truth cometh forth only after the clash of differing opinions. (`Abdu’l-Bahá)

The conscience of man is sacred and to be respected. (`Abdu’l-Bahá)

The Bahá’i administration was so afraid of his sayings that they even had to delete his Wikipedia webpage.

Glaysher: Strong bonds between the Haifan Bahá’is and the USA, Israel

UHJ knows how to use the self-interest of the political unit, United States, Israel.
Reagan needed a bludgeon, with which to beat Iran and the Bahá’i faith was the most convenient, for his issues at that time.
Bahá’is know they can use the governments, along those lines when they need them. Now to what extent does the US Senators, president so forth, Bill Clinton, others have spoken out in defense of Bahá’is, in one very incident or another.
What extent do they know about the problems, coercion of conscious and so forth here is very hard to say… I have never seen any evidence that they have the slightest incline of it.
It’s certainly not in the Bahá’i Administration interest to inform them, they are not going to do that and never have and vehemently denied and so forth, I say that’s what’s happening, the UHJ knows how to use the self-interest of the political unit, whether it is US, or certainly Israeli ….to its own best advantage

Shoghi Effendi many times met with the Israeli leaders of his time. Or had a variety of lawyers and other Bahá’i administrators do so … so they very much understood what was required and how to reach a mutual understanding with the Israeli government… really it even goes back further reflection here, `Abdu’l-Bahá had involvement during the 20s in then Palestine under the British mandate… There is a very long history of Bahá’i involvement with political authority whatever strip.
